Terms of Service
Last updated: May 9, 2026
TL;DR.Use Memory of Ord like a decent person — don’t break the law, don’t harass anyone, and don’t upload things you don’t have the right to share. Your content belongs to you. Memory of Ord is a one-person hobby project, provided as-is with no promises that it will always work or stay up, and the operator’s liability is capped at a small amount. The longer terms below say the same thing in the language lawyers expect — they’re there to keep a free community tool from being sunk by a lawsuit, not to slip anything past you.
Memory of Ord is a personal project run by a single individual based in California, USA. These terms describe the rules for using it. By creating an account or using Memory of Ord, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
Who can use Memory of Ord
You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement in the country where you live. In most places that’s 13, 16, or 18 — whichever applies to you. Memory of Ord is not designed for children under 13 and you must not use it if you are under 13. If you’re using Memory of Ord on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind it to these terms.
Your account
You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in details safe, and let me know at memoryoford@gmail.com if you think someone else has gotten in. You can delete your account at any time.
Your content
You own what you create on Memory of Ord — your campaigns, nodes, edges, notes, and anything else you write or upload. You can use, share, and sell your content however you want, including commercially. Memory of Ord does not claim ownership of it.
To run the service, Memory of Ord needs a basic license to handle your content. By posting content, you grant Memory of Ord a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, back up, and process that content as needed to operate the service for you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except to the extent the content has already been shared with other users or persists briefly in backups.
You’re responsible for the content you post. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to share, and don’t upload anything illegal.
Other people’s content
If another user shares content with you on Memory of Ord, you can view and interact with it inside the service, but you don’t gain ownership or any copyright over it. Don’t copy, redistribute, or repurpose other users’ content outside Memory of Ord without their permission.
Acceptable use
While using Memory of Ord, please don’t:
- Break the law, in your country or in California, USA

- Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Try to access accounts, data, or systems that aren’t yours

If you see something that breaks these rules, or content that infringes your copyright, see the DMCA page or email memoryoford@gmail.com.
The service is provided as-is
Memory of Ord is provided as-is, with no warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, all implied warranties — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement — are disclaimed. There’s no guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or a good fit for your needs. The service may change, break, or shut down at any time. Please be patient when things go wrong.
Limit on liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Memory of Ord and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption. Total liability for any direct damages will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
Your responsibility for problems you cause
If something you do on Memory of Ord — including content you upload — causes a third-party claim, lawsuit, or fine against the operator, you agree to cover the resulting costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), to the extent allowed by law in your jurisdiction.
Termination
You can stop using Memory of Ord at any time and delete your account. Memory of Ord may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service itself. If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your content. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including the content-license, liability, and dispute sections — will keep applying.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute comes up, please email memoryoford@gmail.com first — most things can be sorted out informally. If they can’t, the dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Memory of Ord agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. If you live somewhere with consumer-protection laws that override this clause, those local laws apply.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes, advance notice will be given by email or an in-app notice when feasible. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Other
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the full agreement between you and Memory of Ord about the service. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term once doesn’t mean the right to enforce it later is given up.
